So I’m in London, land of blitz spirit and denial, greed and disaster. Hunkered down in England’s plague-pit, I promise you all, everything is going to be absolutely fine.
Mood: Sort of itchy and news-obsessed. Waiting for doom to knock on the door.
Weather: Sunny, blue sky, little fluffy clouds. Distinctly inappropriate weather for a global catastrophe. Anyone would think nature was fine about our impending ending.
Word of the day: Impest – to infest with plague or pestilence.

It’s been a while since I posted. I just finished writing my book yesterday (woohoo!) I’ve got my head to a somewhat settled place, and a huge disaster is sweeping through everywhere except Botswana and Yemen. The UK government is doing a great job of making a plan up as they go along, London may soon go into lockdown, but I’m still working. Working is actually pretty nice, it feels like we’re a lifetime away from danger when we’re out with the flowers and the robins.
How about all of you? (going to have a look in a minute) Are you isolated? Healthy? Scared or complacent?

Glad to hear you are well! And congrats on finishing your book. I’m in lockdown with my family, but we’re all healthy. Just trying to stay out of the fear mindset with regards to the financial hardships ahead.

Hey. Hello. I’ve missed you. Can’t wait to read the book. Working in the gardens should be fine, I guess. Travelling to and from maybe less so. Mind you, I say this to the woman with a time portal in the staffroom clock. Stay safe and, hopefully, stick around 🙂

I’m staying at home, healthy, not scared, but into Spring cleaning big time using up the unused bubble bath and a splash of zoflora. Washing has been out on the line in the sun, the pet hens had a bit of time out in the garden with me. There was a calm joy looking up into the sky with no contrails as I put the washing out, only to have a couple of birds squabble right past my head like a ruddy bombing raid. Nature giving me the peace and then making me laugh. Well done with the book.

Congratulations, Petra. I hope your book is a great hit. Share a preview once it is ready to be published. 🙂 I love the painting. The world is not burning, just stewing in its own heat. Under lockdown, each home is a pressure cooker. Soon, we will be listening to the whistles as the utensils fly out of the window.
